		Carl Marks, Chief Operating Officer Carl joined DSS as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2002. He is responsible for the DSS Data Center business and for Finance, Human Resources, IT and Process Improvement. Before joining DSS, Carl was Vice President of Information Services at Carpenter Technology Corporation, a Fortune 1000 company headquartered in Reading, PA. In that role, he transformed the company’s view of information services from “overhead cost” to “value added service provider.” He led process initiatives to reduce cost and improve service quality. And, he traveled to India and Taiwan to integrate new business acquisitions. He was a member of the executive team and made certain that Carpenter’s information technology strategy supported business unit strategies. Carl is active in the community serving on committees with Berks Economic Partnership, and Wall Street West. He holds a Bachelors degree from Elizabethtown College and a Masters of Business Administration from Lehigh University. He and his wife live in Sinking Spring and have three children and one grandchild.

		Scott Kantner, Chief Technology Officer Scott Kantner is the Chief Technology Officer of DSS with expertise in IT infrastructure design and software engineering. Scott has been with the company since its inception, establishing corporate vision and selecting the technology that DSS delivers to its clients. Scott is an extremely knowledgeable IT consultant with over 20 years experience. He holds certifications from IBM, Tivoli, APC, Microsoft, and Novell. Scott is responsible for DSS’s internal architecture, developing DSS’s customer infrastructure solutions, and working with customers to develop IT infrastructure solutions aligned with their business requirements. Scott’s experience spans multiple industry sectors including banking, financial, manufacturing, energy and retail. During the formative years of DSS, Scott participated in both the design and delivery of customer solutions, and later became responsible for managing DSS’s systems engineering staff. As the company grew, the need to exploit new technology for both customer and DSS advantage also grew, and Scott became DSS’s first CTO. In addition to helping customers leverage their investments in technology, Scott is develops DSS’s portfolio of hosting solutions. Scott holds a Bachelors degree in Computing & Information Sciences from Lehigh University. He is active in his church. Scott and his wife reside in Hamburg, PA, and have three children.

		Lew Hill, Director, Data Center Operations Lew began his experience with high availably systems as a technician in the United States Air Force where he was responsible for the dual systems of an Air Defense Command radar installation. Lew had many years at IBM as a Systems Engineer where he served as project manager and systems support for early installations of multi processor MVS and VM systems. In addition, he provided IBM systems support of IMS, CICS, TCAM, TSO and other critical systems. He is a graduate of the IBM Systems Research Institute, was elected to nine Systems Engineering Symposia and was a Director of the 1975 Symposium. Lew also co-founded a small retail jewelry chain where he developed PC-based retail systems and became a Graduate Gemologist, is an instrument rated commercial pilot, has raced sail boats off shore, serves as a photographer on international medical missions (Peru, El Salvador and most recently Nepal) and rides a spirited horse named Set Em Up Cowboy.

		Joe Iwanowski, Director, Data Center Services Joe is responsible for 24x7 operations and client deliverables for DSS Hosting customers as well as the project management for customer and internal Information Technology projects. He’s a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and has earned ITIL v3 Foundation certification. Joe manages DSS professionals in the 24x7 Technical Operations center, overseeing both Data Center transition projects and on-going contract deliverables. He has been instrumental in developing and instituting a standard project management methodology at DSS that is based on the internationally recognized PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge. As a Project Manager, Joe has led all types of IT projects with a majority being in IT Infrastructure and Data Center transitions. Joe has extensive experience managing IT technical infrastructure organizations and has led corporate merger consolidation project teams. Joe has been involved in several Program Management Offices (PMO) and was a key participant in developing a PMO for a large utility. Joe holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Albright College. He and his wife live in Wyomissing, PA and have two chidren. Outside of DSS, Joe enjoys following all of the Philadelphia sports teams and spending time at the Jersey Shore.

		Jack Gesualdi, Director, Data Center Sales Jack Gesualdi is DSS’ Data Center Solution Specialist, working alongside the sales team to develop data center solutions that meet our customers’ hosting requirements. He also represents the DSS Data Center at numerous industry events and speaking engagements. Jack joined DSS in 1999 as a Senior Account Executive and cultivated many of DSS’ key customers. He began his career in Information Technology as an Account Executive at IBM and SSA Mid-Atlantic, deepening his expertise in hardware and software product and implementation services. Throughout his career, Jack has achieved numerous awards, including ten consecutive IBM 100% Club achievements in sales, three SSA President’s awards for sales professionalism and achievement, and SSA Sales Person of the Year. Jack holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Albright College where he earned seven Varsity Letters in Baseball and Football. He is an avid sports fan, especially of Notre Dame Football. Jack is from Hoboken, NJ and currently lives in Hershey PA. He has as two daughters and three grandchildren.
